The @datacarpentry/curriculum-advisors-ecology recently agreed to adopt the redesigned version of this lesson (https://datacarpentry.org/r-ecology-lesson-alternative/). This PR adds notices to REAMDE.md, index.Rmd, and issue and PR templates notifying visitors of the scheduled change.
