enter workbench beta phase (do not merge until 2022-10-31) #380

This is to prepare for the workbench beta phase and addresses https://github.com/datacarpentry/r-raster-vector-geospatial/issues/369

Depends on https://github.com/datacarpentry/r-raster-vector-geospatial/pull/379

Please merge this on 2022-10-31 to enter this lesson into the workbench beta phase.

369 says all open PRs need to be resolved prior to enabling workbench, does this need to be done before merging this PR (380)?

No you do not. You can merge this now.

Pre-Beta: ... During this time, it is important to resolve (merge, defer, or close) any pull requests that currently exist on the lesson.

Once again my own words have come back to haunt me (how appropriate on Oct 31 🎃). This PR enters your lesson into the pre-beta stage of the beta phase (😞 @ my use of fluid terminology) where a snapshot will be available in a separate repository, so resolving PRs is not necessary before this PR is merged. However, it is important to resolve PRs in the next four weeks.
