[VOTE] Release DataCleaner community edition 5.8.0

Hi All,

I would like to suggest a release of DataCleaner version 5.8.0. I want to base this release on the master branch.

The release would bump the "minor" version increment from 5.7 to 5.8 because the application now runs (note: still does not build) on Java versions 9 and above. Other than that the main change is that we've updated a hell of a lot of dependencies and gotten rid of vulnerabilities, transitive bugs etc. I have compiled a more thorough changelog and posted as a comment in this thread.

Well this is not so great. I did the release and just wanted to test the binary before uploading it, and I am getting an error. Reported in #1913.

Weirdly enough, I don't get this error when running the Main class from my IDE. So I will check to see if it's something only happening in the packaged version.

OK the issues have been resolved. I'm gonna cut another release after double-double checking that it works now :)

The release is done! Final version number is 5.8.1 because 5.8.0 ended up being broken.
