I attempted to access the datasets via an incognito window and also received an error.

We know about this issue (#3264) and a script is currently running that will re-send all DOI metadata to DataCite to resolve this. It's currently on 1163/57928 ids, so it will be a while. I'll check these DOIs and close this ticket when that script is done.

ahamelers commented 6 months ago

I've also opened #3265 to be able to re-send smaller sets of stuff to DataCite, so we'll hopefully be able to resolve similar issues faster in the future

Hey Audrey, thanks for the responses. Do we have a timeline for when this might be resolved? And would you like us to continue sending DOI links for incoming HD queries about this issue? Here's one, in case: 10.5061/dryad.cnp5hqccr

Adding this one; DOI links to Dryad homepage:

DOI: 10.7280/D1NH6N

"How syllabi relate to outcomes in higher education: An evaluation of syllabi learner-centeredness and grade inequities in STEM"

Do we have a timeline for when this might be resolved?

I had to restart the big DOI resend yesterday morning because it was canceled due to a logout (I've taken steps to prevent unwanted cancelation in the restart) and the current completion count is 34340/57953 IDs. Based on that progress I'd say it will be done tomorrow morning at the latest. It seems to be going at a rate of ~2000 an hour.

Would you like us to continue sending DOI links for incoming HD queries about this issue?

Sure, that gives me a list to check, and we can open additional tickets if any issues remain when the process is complete.

Note to check https://doi.org/doi:10.5061/dryad.5qfttdzdx (mentioned by @kailashap in other ticket)

The big DOI resend is complete and everything that existed in our system at the time that started now works. I will send the 2 newest (10.5061/dryad.qnk98sfkp, 10.5061/dryad.8cz8w9gzh) separately.

Since there's clearly still an intermittent issue, we'll triple check all our DataCite sending code, and see if there are any errors we are missing or additional opportunities to resend automatically.

This DOI still isn't working, and the author is concerned. Uncovering microstructural architecture from histology DOI: 10.5061/dryad.02v6wwqb2

ahamelers commented 6 months ago

Fixed. Providing the resource numbers would allow me to do this faster!

mahirst commented 6 months ago

Here's a resource ID for a dataset with DOI not working: 286997

Do you want us to continue submitting these here or in #3265?

lauradryad commented 6 months ago

Another resource ID that's not working yet: 286891

ahamelers commented 6 months ago

Both resent!
