Once we upgrade Flink v1.5.0, we'll have more features reading Kafka as well as stronger support for SQL.
There are a couple of items and issues.
[x] flink-conf.yaml requires replace in the lab_dev
[x] Kafka0110 Avro table source and sink #154
[x] Flink rest API upload jar now have file_name contains file path as well. The code is updated to get jar_id only from the file.
[x] Flink REST API run jar does not allow empty args anymore. The temporary fix is to comments out arguments not being used.
[x] Flink REST API run jar for parameters now use a comma, as a separator and also replace single quote '. The JIRA is created at FLINK-9832. The temporary fix is to replace , to ^ and ' to ? for now
[x] Fink job status has issues. Remove JSON body.
[x] Fink job cancel has issues. The DELETE request does not work. For instead, use GET, yarn-cancel with return code 202 instead of 200. This could be a defect. Try to find Jira ticket. This impacts the job delete/cancel and restarts functions.
