from a customer discussion:

this is a datajoint configuration (`dj.config`) setting related related to deletes - 
basically it is an on/off switch on whether datajoint should prompt the user to confirm deletion or not.

Default is ‘True’ (on) which means ‘prompt the user to confirm deletes’. 
Disabling is not recommended for normal use, but may be useful in some cases such as maintenance scripts which are confined to delete with well-known / tested code for a specific task, etc.
