Support for non-latin characters in user display names #955

I've noticed people on the demo deployment signing up with names that we cannot render. I'm not sure how much of this is my browser/font set up, but the API seems fully able to handle their name, so we should make the UI do the same. I assume this amounts to setting some fallback font?

In this particular case, one of the characters is https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/%E6%9D%8E
