improve work on time approximation #42

I'm not sure where this would come from, but the current placeholder can have a big impact on simulated results

It would be :v: nice to do a sensitivity analysis: show which parameters have the biggest impact on estimates we care about. Then we could concentrate on having better measurements/estimates of the parameters that the analysis is most sensitive to.
