Mostly empty and 8 months old. Do we want to invest in this repo?

The conversation in #1 is a useful reference to point at when telling the story of Data Rescue efforts hitting the point where you have to figure out who has what. Other than that I'm fine with closing the repo. @b5 has been doing a bunch of work around unifying dataset descriptors, but I clearly that work has happened elsewhere.

Do we want to preserve that reference here @flyingzumwalt or can we transfer the issue to datatogether/datatogether?

Dates are important to preserve. If you transfer the issue will that make it look like the conversation happened this month instead of in February?

we can just mark as deprecated and maybe update teh README.
