Remove companies that are out of scope #1509

Through my own requests, I discovered a few companies in our database that don't actually fit our inclusion criteria, either by not processing any personal data at all or by not falling under the territorial scope of the GDPR.

I will delete those records. This issue mostly just serves the purpose to document why they were deleted.

Ubimo is not a company based in the European Union, nor does Ubimo process the data of subjects who are in the Union. The provisions of the GDPR cited do not apply to Ubimo or to Ubimo’s business.

As a US entity without operations in the EU/EEA, our processing activities generally are governed by US law and follow CCPA as it relates to requests to delete consumer information.

If you are a requestor from the EEA and/or the UK, please note that as of August 1, 2021 Tapad is no longer offering products and services that involve the collection or use of UK & EEA data, and Tapad’s use of all UK & EEA data has ceased. Additionally, Tapad has deleted all data that it holds from these regions. Therefore, Tapad no longer holds data on any devices originating from these locations.

Per Throtle's Privacy Policy:

VII. Throtle’s Policy Regarding EU Data, Protection & Security It is our general policy to not deliberately accept for processing any personal data where an individual resides in any EU member country. Throtle performs scans on data that we ingest from sources, partners and clients designed to identify non-US postal and foreign email domains. In addition, we work with our partners and sources to inform us if they are ingesting any data from outside the US. Throtle regularly cleanses its Identity graph to remove any linkages that are found to originate outside the United States.

Since we do not hold or sell data from the EU, it is our policy to not respond to GDPR requests.

The company is not operational today. The software is being repurposed so we are not actively collecting or storing any user data at this moment. Thank you.

Please note, first of all, that Infectious Media has now been acquired by Kepler Group, and Infectious Media no longer exists as a brand.

Furthermore, pertaining to the subject of your request, the company that previously identified as Infectious Media no longer runs a technology platform that issues cookies or gathers any kind of personal data. Nor does it hold any user data in archives.

Therefore there is no action we need to take relating to your request below.

As a non-EU business, we do not offer goods or services in the EU nor do we monitor data subjects’ activities taking place in the EU. Consequently, the GDPR does not apply to our business, and we are unable to respond to your request.

The TrueData company is not processing any data from the EU. […] Truedata, as a privacy-first company, is allowing everyone to submit the CCPA Opt-out of sale requests. We think this request type may be important for you, to ensure your data is not processed in case you’ll leave the EU borders. EDIT: misguided comment, I thought this was a repo from Lusha Systems, who sent me an unsolicited opt-out "Notice of personal information processing" email. Feel free to delete (or I will do so myself shortly)
