adobe reader and open office paypal link error

Hello,
PDF PAYPAL LINK ERROR IN ADOBE READER
The paypal link on the invoice works when I click on it in print preview, but 
when I export the invoice to pdf and then click on the paypal link/logo in the 
standalone adobe reader I get the following error:
"an error occured while trying to communicate with web browser"

I am using XP (service pack 3), Firefox 6.0.1, adobe reader 9.4 (most up to 
date I believe), and Simple Invoice 2010.2

Interestingly, if I view the pdf in gmail online I don't get the error; it 
works. This is the pdf link info in gmail:

I get the same behavior on our other computer.

DOC PAYPAL LINK ERROR IN OPEN OFFICE
When I export the invoice to doc format and click on paypal logo in Open Office 
I get a different error:
"The link you have used to enter the PayPal system contains an incorrectly 
formatted item amount."
This is the paypal link in the word doc:

Could it be an encoding issue. The url info looks different than the pdf link 
info?

PRINT PREVIEW LINK WORKS
This is the link url I get in print preview which works. Notice that it is 
slightly different than the doc format url:

I think this ticket can be merged with 
http://code.google.com/p/simpleinvoices/issues/detail?id=169 Once we switched 
to a new PDF library it should be gone.

I really need help getting my PayPal link to process using the simple invoices. 
I get this message:
"We cannot process this transaction because there is a problem with the PayPal 
email address supplied by the seller. Please contact the seller to resolve the 
problem. If this payment is for an eBay listing, you can contact the seller via 
the "Ask Seller a Question" link on the listing page. When you have the correct 
email address, payment can be made at www.paypal.com."

I am using the email address associated with account as the billing name.
