Can't complete the login process with Chrome (Linux)

OS: Linux

I had Firefox as a default browser and everything was working fine (could log in and publish stuff). Recently, I moved to have chrome as a default browser, when I tried to log in data login it says

? Login with... Github
> Opening browser and waiting for you to authenticate online

But nothing actually happens: New Chrome tab is opened but nothing is loading. Since no URL is displayed, so that I can visit it manually I'm not able to login.

How to reproduce

• On Linux make chrome default browser
• data login
• Take a look at automatically opened tab

Expected behavior

• able to login (browser is actually loading something)
