With all the features rofi has gained it's now possible to create self contained applications based on dmenu scripts. Some of these are mature enough to be treated as regular applications.
I suggest a way to make rofi start as a regular window, which does not block the keyboard for other applications and is all in all just "normal". The window can be moved around, focus can be taken away from it and scripts you use all the time can stay just stay open.
