In the html blame tables output, empty lines will always be included, and the Show/Hide button will determine whether or not the empty lines are shownare then always included. The option --empty-lines defines the initial state of the Show/Hide empty lines button.
In Excel, when --empty-lines is not active (equivalent to --no-empty-lines), empty lines are actually removed from the output. This behavior is unchanged.
For html and Excel, when --empty-lines is active, the empty lines should not be shown in white, as they currently are, but in the normal color of the blame author. I have noticed while grading, that the author's color usually results in better readable output.
