Thank you for the input. I've looked at doing that once before. It seems like a neat idea but I couldn't figure out what its purpose would be. For me it would be like having calibre with a tray icon - neat, but why?
I like the idea, but we'd have to think about its purpose and if it's worth it.

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Dear community, I am a fan of tray icons for Ubuntu, they make the operation of programs just that much easier and provide a little reminder, that a program is running. There are very good tray icons for Keepass, Dropbox and even for Skype. They enable quick access to the program and provide status information. I think, such an icon might also be a good addition for ClamTk
Describe the solution you'd like I would like to have a tray icon, showing the clamAV logo, that enables to open and close the program and that shows the current status, like updates, on-access scanner status, general availability of the program, etc.
