On why dealing with money advances the movement, https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mikaelcho/the-unsplash-book/description says,

Comedian Louis C. K. inspired me when he said:

“I learned that money can be a lot of things. It can be something that is hoarded, fought over, protected, stolen and withheld. Or it can be like an energy, fueled by the desire, will, creative interest, need to laugh, of large groups of people. And it can be shuffled and pushed around and pooled together to fuel a common interest.”

@davelab6 do you have a good idea how to bring this awesome collection somehow in a good form? It's always hard to keep link-lists updated. Plus I saw we already lost some content because it's offline now. I tried to do in my attempt archive.org links for static content.

davelab6 commented 5 years ago

Sadly, not really... eventually I will convert my MATD Dissertation into a real book that is up to date. But I am too busy making things happen :)

Having experienced losing important web texts when wanting to go back to them years later, I have kept a huge private archive of all web pages which I enjoy reading for the last ~10 years. Sadly its not possible for me to publish, but it means when I do make that book, I will be able to provide a very large appendix of all referenced material in full :) Maybe I would have to host it in Moldova though, lol

signalwerk commented 5 years ago

Oh! Thats good. At least you still have the content. I'm looking forward to that book! would love to see an updated/extended version of your work!
