Related to #41 and that you can't take it with you, https://x.com/damn_jehu/status/1809304279162790368 is a quote on how true wealth is free time. That this is the actual goal, the reason software freedom is valuable is because it can be utilized on free time to do whatever you want; that free time is the only way to fully exercise the four freedoms.

And the old thing in not sure if it has an issue here yet but about how making things for exchange inherently degrades them because their purpose isn't only for use value but that is balanced against the exchange value and this ultimately means not being as useful as possible because there has to be incentive to buy the next model; and while Ahrens critique of responsibility said that it's the exchange value offer which binds the seller to care about the buyer's needs, so libre goods don't develop features users need, there's always gaps in the individual case that statistical development for the mean or even median buyer (as consumer goods are made per gatto on scientific management) can not anticipate. And economies of scale in physical (rival) goods make this a good trade-off but not for digital goods (like stallman's printing press & copyright trade-off critique) since digital goods are so plastic in the hands of an editor (fonts or text source) (and debugger, compiler, for programs). So the user needs equality of power relations in order to make the median mass market design suit their individual circumstances; shared responsibility between maker and user.

The quote also uses eliminated when I think a better word is obsoleted
