I've found a bug that allows you to reset riddle chests, letting you do the riddle again and generate more loot. This involves other mods, in particular the lumberjack axe from Ray's Dongles which provides a veinmining effect. I haven't tested if it's the same with the lumberjack axes from other mods, or if it works with OreExcavater/VeinMiner.
The process is simple: Break some riddle chests, place them next to each other, put any item in all of them, then mine them with the lumberjack axe. They'll all break, drop their items, and while the one you are actually mining will drop itself as solved the others with drop as unsolved, allowing you to complete the riddle again and generate more loot.
