Hi! I'd love to have translations for the riddles, but this is a lot trickier than it might seem at first. One big problem is that the same chest would be different for two players trying to solve it, which makes your particular example have 4 letters for English clients and 5 letters for Brazilian Portuguese clients. I will have to figure out what the best way to do this would be.
I really hadn't thought of that! Now that you've said it I see that it's something more than simple. Hope you find a practical solution to this! I'll wait translating to my language! Thanks for the reply!
Random person with one idea, which would be to have additional language buttons or a drop down list to choose from. However, that would require additional letter spaces to be created on the fly unless additional spaces already existed, but were just greyed out/couldn't be accessed or used until needed by the chest.
The chest could possibly recognize a player's language selection and auto switch to that language selection when a player activates/interacts with the chest. Otherwise just stick with a player manually selecting their desired language through an interface on the chest.
Just an one idea that could possibly work.
First I would like to know if I can translate the riddles you have posted. If I can, I would like to know the following:
I already understood how to make the riddles, very simple actually! But I would like to know if it is possible to create a puzzle with
lang
tag inpt_br
but make a pull request for you to add it to the mod so that the whole community of my language can use it without having to download files or mods extras. To my knowledge, the only way I know is to create the same files and replace them (Because if you put different files, the game would recognize both at the same time and would have riddles in English and Portuguese), but that would only work with a datapack (To not overwrite native files.). It would make you have to create files outside of the mod! So, if someone wanted the mods translated, they would have to download another file besides the mod.
I translate a lot of community mods, but the strings are usually in assets/lang And there you can easily create a pull request without changing any native language file.
