Enhancement for Trainer function #745

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What new feature/ability do you want?
The current Trainer function only appears to support the 4 stick inputs from
the Student Tx. It would be good if the switches could also be supported.

What is the expected output?
Students could then use other features to help them learn such as flaps and 3
way switch settings to invoke additional units on the model such as an
Eagletree Guardian flight stabilising unit.

What version of the product are you using?

Please provide any additional information below.

All 8 possible trainer channels are supported. Channels 5 to 8 are available as
sources in the mixers, called PPM5 to PPM8.

Thanks. There are loads of tutorials on setting up the basic 4 channels in the
Trainer function but I can't find anything about how to set up the switches via
the mixer. Do you know of any links please?

I don't know of any specific tutorials.
For help on this sort of thing, try posting on http://openrcforums.com/forum/
Quick answer, e.g. flaps on channel 5. You might have:
CH05 +100% P1
to control the flaps from pot P1.
Just add another line on channel 5:
R +100% PPM5 Switch(TRN)
This is a 'Replace' multiplex mix. When the TRN switch is ON, channel 5 will
output the fifth channel from the student instead of your value from P1.
