Considering removing IBMTTS 22 kHz option #78

Hi all, I'm considering removing access to the 22 kHz sample rate option that appears if using IBMTTS. I'm considering doing this for several reasons.

It produces clicks at the end of strings in several cases in all versions
IBMTTS 6.7 sounds quite bad, and people have to use older DLLs to get a better sound
Apparently IBM themselves were aware of the issues, because the 22 kHz mode was removed in IBMTTS 7.0

SO my question is, does anyone actually use this option? If I get no or very few responses within the next two weeks, I'll assume that means that the option is OK to remove.

I not really using it but my friend is using it.

As bad as it sounds, I don't think it's worth removing. Perhaps in the future improvements can be made with the sound.

This is a rather old thread. The only reason 22 kHz support was put back in was because the 22 kHz voices were recently found.
