[feature-request] Improve navbar and refbar usability

If e.g. you have clicked the navbar just to peek into the document structure, there is no way to close it unless you click on an actual link within the nabvar itself. It would be nice to have the possibility to close the navbar without having to jump to a specific part of the document, e.g. to close it by just clicking outside the navbar itself.

The same applies for the bottom bar that appears when you click on a reference: there is no way to close it.

It's possible to close them by clicking the browser's back button, but I agree this isn't the most intuitive.
