1 year ago I assume, although you do not mention it, or provide any example showing the problem, that this is about the typewriter package.
The version here allows you to set the font before loading the package, the default is
\providecommand\ttbasefont{cmuntt.otf}see for example

so you could try fonts with a larger character set
