Fix typos #24

In this PR I have fixed some typos that I could find, and also I removed some of the trailing whitespaces that were at the end of sentences or in R chunks. I avoided removing whitespaces from latex formulas as I was not sure if in some implementations they would break or not.

It fixes #20

I went ahead and merged this, but just a heads up, this project has mostly been abandoned.
