fixes some of the annoying things about the editor highlighting and tidies up the whole mode so it'll be easier to extend in future.
specifically the two things that most annoyed me
no longer things that two backslashes on the same line are a regexp
rotate time / 100, time / 100 will display correctly
auto-indentation is slightly less aggressive.
currently hitting enter inside of a block will auto-indent to the correct level. but it will continue to do that until text sets the next indentation level. Instead, now if there is a blank line, then all there will be auto-indentation added.
