think about whether to rename "bpm" into "beats" #30

one one side, I find "bpm" to be too technical. On the other side, some friends tell me that it's actually quite "street" and "beats" wouldn't quite mean the same thing...

"bpm" is perfect ;) Even iTunes has a column for "BPM" when browsing music.

I've seen "tempo" in some other livecoding clip recently. What do you think about 'tempo' ?

Definitely prefer bpm. I might be a techie but bpm is just immediately clear to me. Unless you want to do stuff like tempo fast.

I'll just close this lingering issue. One day it will become clearer which (extra?) keywords we might require for defining rhythms and subtle differences between them, at the moment nothing comes to mind in terms of changing things...
