Look into using TikZ's datavisualization #4

I've been using PGFPlots because plain TikZ was just a bit too limited. But I'm not using the default style of PGFPlots, so a lot of things needed to be overridden. Maybe TikZ has grown up enough to drop PGFPlots?

Currently no plans to look into this.
