Hey, that is Debian/Ubuntu specific isn't it? Let's try to maintain the plugin OS/platform agnostic, otherwise people will suggest we add info for Windows/Fedora/Arch/Debian/RedHat/FreeBSD/Younameit! :)
It is and you're right. Although as an Arch user I would be able to benefit from this information as well (as opposed to having no documentation on dependencies). Perhaps it should be written more general in that case. If you think there is merit, I can update my pull, or close it otherwise. What do you think?
Might I suggest to please include this as a dependency documentation note. Getting this to build on Ubuntu 16.04 (Xenial) is impossible without it (libprotobuf-dev). This will likely solve a number of questions for people as they look to incorporate the plugin.
Did you read that this repo is obsolete? :D No longer mantained!
Hi @davidgfnet , great plugin. I had to build on Debian Jessie (ppa approach didn't work). I did have build-essential on my system, but was missing quite a few libraries. I took note of them and added this to the readme. Hopefully it can help others and you find this useful.
