I've used whatsapp on PC years ago, with wart and pidgin and it was fantastic, with these programs I could chat with my friends comfortably, much better than using whatsapp web, in which case, it is necessary to have the cell phone close to you, turned on and connected

@javi2man I wonder if there are other, similar projects to integrate WhatsApp into Pidgin.

I'm only aware of this:

hoehermann/purple-gowhatsapp: Pidgin/libpurple plugin for WhatsApp Web.

No idea how well it works though, or if it works at all. It also requires a phone connection FWIW.
