It would be great if I could enter my weight and height in order to calculate my Basil Metabolic Rate (BMR). This way I know how many calories I burn per day and can set my goal as a deficit, for example -200 cal each day. As you lose weight and keep track of your weight the BMR would change accordingly and the max number of calories to reach your goal would also update. Integrating a step counter would also be helpful as you can derive the number of calories burned walking and add this into the calculation as well.
