Some days I add many items to a meal list in my food Diary. When the list gets very long, I have to scroll alllll the way up to the top to hit the disclosure chevron or the top bar of the meal to close that meal's list.
It would be nice to have the bottom bar of each meal in the Diary {Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks} have the ability to open or close the list for that meal the same way that the disclosure chevron in the top bar of each meal does.
You could simply make the unused area between the plus button and meal total calories button into a tapable area to perform the disclosure action. The top bars of the meal lists already behave this way.
In the screenshot below I scribbled on the area of the bottom bars that could become tapable disclosure (secret) buttons.
This requires no design change and is an intuitive ui common to many apps, so most people should discover it without explanation.
