Gentoo SH Script Issue and issue when configuring kernel..

when entering in hostname <- 6.6.38-gentoo-x86_64 it <- makes a duplicate of the name so the /usr/lib/modules/ folder looks like: 6.6.38-gentoo-6.6.38-gentoo-x86_64 and no module is actually compiled<- is this because of the Kernel Version? because the same thing happens on a pre-6.5 / 5.x kernel. This kind of thing happens also when you i think its either enter something into the genkernel.conf or try to do it manually im not sure but the kernel-hostname is actually *correct:

are you adding a kernel name argument to install.cirrus.driver.sh? I usually run without any arguments (ubuntu) for picking the current kernel - are you trying to build for a different kernel to the running kernel?? I have never used Gentoo so dont know its kernel build system

are you adding a kernel name argument to install.cirrus.driver.sh? I usually run without any arguments (ubuntu) for picking the current kernel - are you trying to build for a different kernel to the running kernel?? I have never used Gentoo so dont know its kernel build system

the kernel argument is provided upon the build kernel installation process of the gentoo handbook is something sort of like linuxfromscratch or freebsd if you think your geared for that area of interest it can teach someone alot<- where on the Debian side of things you have to do this whole ton of research which i havent got around to setting up a source repository <- basically making a apt clone repository that you fill ONLY with your system packages and allow it to reinstall itself like gentoo, Fedora does this automagically, redhatlinux does this automagically. i've tried tools like apt-build but they just didnt work <- i mean they DO and i think they WOULD its all centric around user-configuration misdirection not necissarily error its just the script doesnt understand what system it is: 6.6.38-gentoo-6.6.38-gentoo-x86_64 so i think its using the Kernels Choice not the Kernel-Builders choice so itll make a duplicate 6.6.38-gentoo-6.6.38-gentoo-x86_64 hostname string im currently backing up my mac to give it a try, its along the line of using BSD/ is Gentoo is <- /usr/src on a BSD system is Highly populated with the Source Code of the Entire System by the time the users done installing it<- but theres no audio driver atleast yet 14.1 release which i anticipated , i did see them make some --commits in that area though specifically regarding the specific soundcard

so packages are --imported using apt-build in its --tree form then when your done all you do is keep switching which repo your using --localhost or --canonical;

OK IT WORKED but now i need to find which modules to include in the kernel -the -amplifiers. i dont know WHYYYYYYYY it was doing that, i did the same thing, i did it the same way, i set the hostname in the kernel config my guess is it WAS something to do with genkernel or compiling it manually but i used genkernel check , worked , check and rebooting its not quite working yet only shows spdif output and the TAS Driver is compiled, the MAX and SSM are missing in the kernel tree , kernel-6.6.38 version=6.6.38-gentoo-x86_64 hostname=yourhostname AH ok no its still giving : the compiler used is different from <- but theres eselect gcc list only 1 <- good just like it said <- emerge --ask --empty-tree @system @world on new stage3 install should be the only 1 left after
