Shift keys show as their nonshift keys #146

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Hold shift
2. press "`", "1", "2", "3", "4", "5", "6", "7", "8", "9", "0", "-", "=", "\", 
", ".", "/", ";", "'", "[", "]"

3. and you will not see "~", "!", "@", "#", "$", "%", "^", "&", "*", "(", ")", 
"_", "+", "<", ">", "?", ":", """, "{", "}"

Please provide any additional information below.

any key that has an alternate key when holding shift does not appear. ex. 
pressing shift+1 will show shift and 1 not shift and !

It's sort of by design. The 'a' keys shows as 'A' and 'Shift-A' also shows as 
'A'.
Perhaps it makes sense to make exceptions for some keys?
