hmm, it might be best to use a Qt specific language system, as the app is 
almost completely written in Qt, i will look into the best way to do this.

if you email me your google user name i will add you as a contributor, then 
once we have the system in place you can begin a translation

I actually tried creating a template TS file just for fun (qmake -project && 
add TRANSLATIONS line && lupdate that-project-file.pro), and only UI messages 
get in. You'll have to apply some magic to get stuff like names and params of 
node inside TS files. Well, Rosegarden can handle that, maybe you can too :)

Yes. We can do that pretty easily, synapse was never designed to be translated 
so I didn't use all the correct tools, but as you guys are keen I can go 
through and add them quite easily.

If you are keen I can add you to the project (I'll need your full google 
usernames - maybe email them to me at jorjpimm@googlemail.com), then you can 
add translations as you like (maybe I should create a translation branch?)

let me know if this sounds like a good idea?

i have added you to the project, i will create a Synapse_1x_Translation branch 
today, we can get the translation stuff working there and then merge down when 
everything is working.
