Footprint/symbol libraries to replicate? #4

Hi!

I'm hoping to fork your project to make a few tweaks of my own (hotswap sockets, a fifth display pin for a nice!nano, replacing a few keys with roller encoders), but I'm having a heck of a time just getting your Kicad files to reproduce as-is since there's no references to any of the libraries you're using in here.

I tried grabbing e.g. the specific SHA of the kbd library that the main crkbd repo references, but that's still leading to inconsistencies due to that presumably not being the exact version you used.

I know this is a pretty quiet repo, totally understand if you've moved on, but I'm curious if adding copies of the symbol and footprint libraries you're using is something you might consider to help make this a bit more reproducible and hackable.

Thanks!

(Sorry if this turns out to just be an "I'm relatively unfamiliar with Kicad, this isn't actually a problem" thing rather than something actually missing in this repo — most of my PCB work has been in Eagle!)

no one ever moves on from this...

I'll have a look, I imagine I changed the footprint in the pcb editor rather than the schematic, sloppy.

You can yoink the footprints out of the editor if you edit and save to a dir, correct me if i'm wrong though it's probably the disconnect between the schematic (symbols) and pcb (footprints) you are having issues with?

i have a incredibly badly used repo for footprints here:

https://github.com/davidphilipbarr/Kicad-Footprints

i'll see if i can update it as i have quite a few 'niche' footprints i need to add so they are not lost forever...
