Hitting delete on an empty in-buffer search causes a crash #290

To reproduce:

  1. Hit Ctrl+Left Arrow to do a search-in-buffer
  2. Hit backspace
  3. The application crashes

While this doesn't seem to happen in K95 v2.1.3 that might just be by accident as the code here is wrong.
