Thanks, I'll review after the holidays.
I played around with this change and as far as I can tell, this would cause git to no longer track the empty bin/Release and bin/Debug directories and allow them to be deleted. I would prefer that those empty directories always appear in the repository in order to document the specific directory structure that our tools assume. I will need help understanding the implications of this change.
i thought you didn't want to share those folders, so i tried to ignore those folders, but if you want to keep your folder structure as is, it's completely fine. It was not much of a big or important change anyway.

@osbm I appreciate the suggestion. I'm happy to entertain any other ideas you might have.
This is useful if you don't want to share unrelated folders. This way they wont even be visible.
