Hi! I'm in level 10 and most of my kanji lessons and reviews are suddenly defaulting to katakana characters (as opposed to hiragana), both in the lesson flashcards and when I type out the Japanese characters using the Roman alphabet. There are some kanji that are still in hiragana (that for "wake up" for example), but most of them are now katakana no matter what.
Edited to clarify: it's not just when I type, but when I'm learning kanji, the kana in the flashcards on the screen is now katakana.
