What I would love to see would be a full float(32-bit) export to Virtual Terrains .bt, .hf2/hfz, or geotiff. That might not be well-received by the wider audience, but for gis dweebs like me, it would be a godsend!
I have no preference for which gets implemented, except maybe geotiff, whose documentation looks annoying. I'll let @astrographer decide which to prioritize.
