When I increase resolution, the ending globe looks very different than the lower res version. Almost unrecognizable. In my planet, there was no south polar landmass but when i increased the resolution, a large island disappears, a large landmass appears on the south pole and it connects to any landmass in the equator. I would assume it would go back to the original lower res world when decreasing back to its original setting, but when i change it back, it is nothing like the original world.
Original World
After increasing ressolution
Bringing it back down to original res
Im assuming it is not supposed to be like this.
I believe it randomizes when resolution is changed. I thought that was intentional, since translating a planet to a different resolution would be a bit awkward.
