Won't capture the TV (program) screen or Youtube videos #9

I just tested your app and it works perfectly in all the menus. For instance, when I am browsing through or searching for a particular video in the youtube app, the lights work. However, as soon as I select and play a video, or if I just switch to watch some TV, the lights are just white and do not change at all. Back in the main menu of the TV, the lights change their color again.

Any ideas what could be the problem?

Tested with: Sony BRAVIA 2015 (Android 7.0, API 24)

I have had similar issues and I believe it has to do with DRM which disallows the 'grabbing' of frames from protected content.

Ah I see... that actually makes sense. So I guess there might not be a way around except for rooting?

I never did figure a way around it.
