Basu tells us that this paper, and the references therein, are relevant to us

Also we should remember to ack Basu when we write something.

First thoughts on the paper (more later)

Methods for finding delta nu:

  1. Mosser & Appourchaux (2009) measure dnu from the first peak in the ACF of the light curve (although what they actually compute is the power spectrum of the power spectrum)
  2. Kallinger et al. (2010) and Gruberbauer et al. (2009) fit Lorentzian profiles to the peaks in the power spectrum... they actually model the power spectrum... I want to read these papers! Kalllinger et al.: http://adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/2010A%26A...509A..77K Gruberbauer et al.: http://arxiv.org/abs/0811.3345
  3. Mathur et al. (2010) also compute the power spectrum of the power spectrum to find dnu. They crossmatch their results with Mosser's & Appourchaux's
  4. Huber et al. (2009) measures dnu from the ACF of the power spectrum. (This is what I have implemented).
  5. Buzasi et al. also compute an ACF of the power spectrum.
