My thesis.bib file has most of them; https://gist.github.com/4622335 That was pre-DR8 so you'll need that ref;
Aihara,~H. \emph{et~al.} \pubyear{2011} The Eighth Data Release of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey: First Data From SDSS-III \emph{The Astrophysical Journal Supplement} \volume{193} (2), article 29. \arxiv{1101.1559}
So the ones I should put in are: SDSS DR1 SDSS DR6 SDSS DR8 SDSS Technical Overview SDSS Photometric Camera SDSS Imaging Pipelines
Is this right?
Not DR1 nor DR6, just York et all (SDSS overview) and not imaging pipelines but yes Padmanabhan et al on calibration. Just do ones you are sure are relevant and leave blank ones you are not sure about -- or put in github issues.
the padmanabhan calibration paper you want is "An Improved Photometric Calibration of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey Imaging Data." (2008). Right?
And not "Calibrating Photometric Redshifts of Luminous Red Galaxies." (2005).?
first -- 2008 -- not the second!
okay that's been cited.
When you say you want SDSS and SDSS-II cited, what do you mean? I can't find papers for those in particular. (I'm using this: http://www.sdss.org/publications/ )
For SDSS it is a paper by York et al.
For SDSS-II I found "The Sloan Digital Sky Survey-II Supernova Survey: Technical Summary" Frieman, et.al (2008) and for SDSS-III "SDSS-III: Massive Spectroscopic Surveys of the Distant Universe, the Milky Way Galaxy, and Extra-Solar Planetary Systems" Eisenstein et.al. (2011) Is that right?
You also wanted a cite for Petrosian photometry, is that Petrosian 1976?
And finally there's a reference for deblending to Lupton and SExtractor. For SExctractor I found Bertin and Arnouts (1996). I couldn't find an obviously relevant paper for Lupton on arXiv.
the Eisenstein paper is right for SDSS-III, but I don't know what's right for SDSS-II.
What is the title for the Petrosian paper?
The lupton paper will be cited in my papers with Masjedi about small-scale clustering.
The petrosian paper is "Surface brightness and evolution of galaxies" (it was the one linked from the SDSS documentation section on Petrosian mags/radii).
then yes, that is it!
still in search of the correct paper to cite for SDSS-II...does this look right since DR7 was the last for II?
Data Release 7: Abazajian, et al. 2009, "The Seventh Data Release of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey," Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series, 182, 543
Yes, use that for SDSS-II.
done.
David, Can you find the fundamental references for SDSS (York et al), SDSS-II (don't know), SDSS-III (maybe Ahn et al??), and put them into method.tex where I have left placeholders? Follow the conventions in the paper already.
