Unable to mount patchstick partition on Ubuntu/Mac OS X #15

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Followed the directions in the wiki to create the partitions on the flash 
drive
2. disconnected and reconnected flash drive
3. the second partition does not show up, (on OS X it says that it hasn't been 
initialized)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The patchstick partition should be appearing, but it isn't

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Ubuntu 8.10 and 10.5.5

Please provide any additional information below.

I would try a different USB flash drive. Some will refuse to partition 
correctly.
