Sorry that this is not really an issue but a question. I have just
installed this software via the patchstick. I am totally new to this but
was lucky enough to make it throught unscathed thanks to Scott Davilla's
Instruction (Much Appreciated). Incidentally, I am using a 2Gb Kingston
Data Traveller and using windows vista on a dual core intel machine. I now
have all the software on the apple tv but am a little unsure of how to add
further applications (SSH?). Also, my main reason for doing this was the
hope of being able to stream my avi movies from a network drive. I have
all of my HD content on the Apple TV and am syncing lower def MP4's from
my network drive. Is there any way I can stream avi's from the same source
or do they physically need to be on the Apple TV HD?
Thanks in advance,
Jp

XBMC or Boxee have a built-in smb client. XBMC and Boxee also understand avi
format. Launcher can install
XBMC and/or Boxee.

For other AppleTV plugins or Applications, ssh/scp can be used to install. See
the AwkwardTV, XBMC or Boxee
forums/wiki.
