Video Calibration lost on restart #14

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Do a video calibration (Settings>Appearance>Screen>Video Calibration...)
2. Quit XBMC
3. Restart XBMC

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect the menu to remain calibrated on reboot, however, overscan
compensation is lost.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
XBMCLauncher-0.8-debug on AppleTV 2.3

Please provide any additional information below.
I believe this is a launcher problem, because it does not affect the Mac OS
X version of XBMC. The software does edit the guisettings.xml when you do a
calibration, but on restart it seems to not read them. The guisettings.xml
is not edited by the software on reboot (it still states the compensation
values given at calibration) but it just seems to ignore it.
On AppleTV 2.2 XMBC never had this problem (it was running the previous
version of launcher)

This is a known issue in XBMC Atlantis and will be fixed in the next release.
There are a few threads in xbmc's forum about this (e.g.
http://xbmc.org/forum/showthread.php?
t=40489&highlight=calibration)

Thanks for reporting.

Looks like the reported issue was a problem on OSX only.

But XBMC's windows forum might be a good place to start a search:
