Cant get ATV to boot from Stick #446

Alright guys and gals, ive tried this on my Leopard and Snow Leopard Machine. 
Ive downloaded the 
patchstick file. Named my Dos formatted flash drive Patchstick and put the 
files on there. (even 
tried it from my XP machine)

but once I stick the flash drive to the back of my AppleTV and turn her on, she 
just does a normal 
boot. Im running 3.0.1 on my AppleTV.

Ive also so far downloaded XMBC on my PC (sense thats where most of my videos 
are)
