No Launcher Menu – Only "Software Menu" #449

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Created Patchstick with atvusb-creator-1.0.b10 and 2Z694-6004-003.dmg
2. Rebooted atv with Patchstick and restarted atv

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected a menu offering options such a Boxee (unfortunately, all videos I've 
seen on the web 
were for ATV v2, not v3).  Instead, I have a second menu called "Software 
Menu", which has 5 
sub-menus of which none work.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
This is a new ATV which came with v3 pre-loaded and which was updated to v3.1.
I used Mac OS 10.6.2 to create the Patchstick.

Please provide any additional information below.
The Patchstick set-up worked without a hitch, and so did the hack of the ATV.  
It is just the 
results that are useless.

This is a known issue, merged with issue #411 (see for proposed solution)
