Error - "The application failed to initiale properly" upon launching windows version of atv -usb #452

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. launching the application

3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
"The application failed to initiale properly"

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
current version as of jan 8 2010

Please provide any additional information below.
The application simply crashes with the above error when attempting to 
launch it.
I have tried 3 different computers running win xp service pack 3.

Have you got .NET 2.0 on the machine? Can you please provide some more 
information. 
Try a redownload etc.
