What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Select DMG
2. Select /dev/disk3 as target drive
3. Creat

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
It created the patch stick- but on my external HD. I had 400 gis of movies-
gone in an instant and now have a external HD names patch stick wiht only
the USB Creator files.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Boxee- creating AppleTV patchstick in snow leaopard.

Please provide any additional information below.
Does anyone know a quick fix to recover the data on the external HD? It
erased it in literally a second so obviously it is still there, but I don't
want to buy some expensive program to recover it. It took me untold hours
to rip my movies, but I have the dvd's still so all is not lost, just a ton
of time. Any help would be appreciated- and a way to see the name of the
device u are creating the patchstck on, not just some rando /disk2 ???
would be a nice update.

I just found another similar post- I think I can recover the data but I have
most
backed up on another drive anyways so I am lucky- but this issue needs to be
addressed so it is not so dang easy to erase an entire drive in an instant!

BTW I am trying Stellar Phoenix to recover my data- I will let u know the
results
